Up to 5 years – Employment or Litigation Law Associate.
The Hum Law Firm does work in the areas of workplace law, professional regulation, human rights law, and litigation. Our main office is in downtown Toronto, Ontario, with a meeting office in Markham.
We need an associate of up to 5 years, with employment and/or litigation law experience, looking to grow with a firm representing both employers and employees across a wide range of industries. Working with Founder Lai-King Hum provides an opportunity to join a fast-growing firm dedicated to excellence.
You are required to have some experience in employment and labour law, or as a litigation associate. You should some demonstrated experience with wrongful dismissal litigation, human rights matters, labour relations (grievance arbitrations, collective bargaining), drafting and reviewing employment agreements and policies, as well as advising on employment aspects of corporate transactions or restructurings. Ideally, you would also have advised on terminations, hiring, disability and absence management, discipline, health and safety.
Experience working on workplace investigations is an asset.
Proficiency in another language in addition to English is an asset.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: Commensurate with experience and/or book of business, with bonus potential. Other forms of financial compensation negotiable.
