Articling Student Position
We are currently looking for an articling student to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated interest in immigration and refugee law.
Our practice covers a broad range of immigration and refugee work, including inadmissibility and removal, refugee claims, sponsorships, economic class applications, corporate immigration matters, appeals, and judicial review applications. While our clients come from diverse backgrounds, we specialize in LGBTQ+ immigration and refugee matters.
As an articling student, you will gain valuable experience in a supportive, educational environment. You will be involved in drafting submissions, conducting legal research, assisting with preparation for hearings, and working closely with our team of lawyers.
We are seeking a candidate who meets the following qualifications:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Exceptional client service skills
- Empathy and strong teamwork abilities
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- A professional attitude and strong personal ethics
- Completion of an immigration course in law school or practical legal experience in immigration law
- Demonstrated professional, academic, or volunteer experience related to immigration law and/or support for marginalized individuals is considered an asset
- Juris Doctor (JD) or LL.B degree
- Eligible to article in Ontario
Salary: $60,000 pro-rated
Articling Term: [2025/2026]
