Job Description – Associate, Family LawyerDue to ongoing growth, our client is seeking to add a tele-commuting Associate, Family lawyer to their team in Ontario. Due to the remote nature of this position, the location within Ontario is flexible. The successful candidate will provide legal consultation over the phone with exceptional customer service in all areas of law, with a specialization in family law. The ideal candidate will work well under pressure, have excellent time management, and meet deadlines efficiently and effectively. This is a unique opportunity for a talented lawyer seeking to focus on giving sound legal consultative advice without the typical law firm pressures. Key Accountabilities and ResponsibilitiesAssist clients with a variety of family law matters.Provide superb legal advice on various areas of law including drafting Wills, Trusts, and Powers of Attorney.Communicate with clients, financial institutions, government agencies, and lawyers. Education and Professional Skills/KnowledgeLL.B. or J.D. degree (or equivalent).Good standing with a Canadian Law Society.2+ years of experience in family law with knowledge in various areas of law considered an asset.Work well under pressure with effective time management skills.Ability to work well with a team with an optimistic attitude and outlook.
